My Story
My yoga journey began over twenty years ago in a small Bikram studio in Noosa, owned by a dear friend. The room was intensely hot, the postures demanding, and more than once I doubted whether I would make it through the full ninety minutes. Yet when I finally stepped out of that steamy space, something profound had shifted. My body felt cleansed, my mind clear, and my spirit luminous. I was glowing — inwardly and outwardly. In that moment, I knew yoga would be a lifelong companion.
Over the following decades, I explored a wide range of yoga traditions and cultivated a committed daily practice. What began as personal devotion gradually evolved into professional calling when I undertook my first 200-hour teacher training in Bali. My initial intention was simply to deepen my own understanding. However, with a background in Biomedical Science and an innate love of teaching, I quickly recognised how beautifully yoga bridges Western medicine and ancient Yogic wisdom — offering a grounded, integrated framework for true eudaimonic wellbeing.
Teaching unfolded organically. I began sharing yoga wherever opportunity arose, and the path since has been one of continual learning, refinement, and transformation. Today, with over 1000 hours of Yoga Therapy training, I offer an integrative and therapeutic approach designed to support people toward optimal health, resilience, and vitality.
A pivotal moment in my journey occurred while working with Yoga Wellness for Africa, an NGO based in Tanzania. A Danish woman who attended my morning classes approached me one day and asked if I would meet her husband, who had been living with chronic pain for over a decade. He had explored countless therapies without relief.
Although I had never worked one-to-one in this capacity before, I felt called to say yes.
